Sal Wallin is a classical guitarist and composer at Reed College, where he is majoring in music with a focus on composing. He has studied guitar with multiple teachers including Cameron O’Connor, Mario Diaz and John Mery, and additionally studies voice and composition with Emily Lau. He also sings with the Big Mouth Society, a community-supported collective of musicians which performs multiple unique, wide-ranging concerts each year.
Sal is currently writing a 25-minute song-cycle after receiving the Jim Kahan Fellowship from Reed and is excited to record and perform it along with the skills of some of his teachers in the Fall.
