Raúl Gómez-Rojas chats with Galilea Rios Schulz, a 17-year-old violinist with the Metropolitan Youth Symphony. Music has always been a part of Galilea’s life, dating all the way back to her dad playing guitar and ukulele for her as a baby.
She has been with MYS for the past eight years, and has been a member of the most advanced orchestra for the last two. Besides music, Galilea is passionate about helping others and has her sight set on a career in law and criminal justice. Additionally, she spends a lot of her free time horseback-riding, an activity that she compares to learning to master a musical instrument.
