In this episode of On Deck, we meet a set of 16-year old twins: Emily Kim (right, in photo) and her sister Lauren Kim. Emily plays the violin (we’ll hear her perform Fritz Kreisler’s “Tambourin Chinois”) and Lauren plays the cello (she’ll play Tchaikovsky’s “Pezzo capriccioso”).
Though they play different instruments and go to different high schools, they are both members of the Portland Youth Philharmonic. Join Christa Wessel as we meet the sisters, and learn more about the ways in which they’re both alike and different.
