Amy Faust checks in with composer and multi-instrumentalist Elaina Rae Stuppler, and then finds it’s impossible to squeeze all of her career highlights into a 9-minute episode, even though she’s only in the 8th grade!
A recent transplant from the Los Angeles area, Elaina is the first recipient of the Luna Lab fellowship, a new program sponsored by the Oregon Symphony for young composers. She’s also a member of Fear No Music’s Young Composer Project, and her original composition is featured in Metropolitan Youth Symphony‘s Fall concert this season.
She loves to write and perform original pop music, and frequently sings the National Anthem at local sporting events (perhaps you saw her on NBC at the Portland Grand Prix last summer?) Elaina attends Lakeridge Middle School and plans to head to Lakeridge High next year.
