On Deck has been profiling kids in the area since the Fall of 2013, and the show has tended to feature some of the most exceptional TEEN musicians in our community. This week, however, we focus on a couple of young boys –ages 7 and 11— who are just beginning their musical journey.
These brothers not necessarily virtuosos, and music might not become the focus of their lives. Their names are Dashiell and Juna Henderson, and they’ve been playing the violin for a few years, learning technique through the Suzuki Method.
In this episode of On Deck Christa Wessel visits the boys –and their mom- at their home to find out what it’s like to learn a musical instrument.
