Requiem, W.A. Mozart’s musical setting of the Mass for the Dead, is widely recognized as a choral masterpiece even though it remained unfinished upon his own death. Mozart’s attention to and interpretation of the text of the mass, coupled with beautiful and lyrical music, make this work a favorite of both singers and listeners.
