On Deck with Anna Hermes

Our newest contributor to “On Deck,” Raul Gomez, chats with singer/songwriter Anna Hermes, an 18-year old soprano and a recent graduate of St. Mary’s Academy. Throughout her high school career, she was a member of Pacific Youth Choir, a songwriting camp counselor with Young Musicians and Artists, a musical theater performer and a passionate advocate for social justice. She will be pursuing a double major in vocal performance and political science at Gonzaga University, where she will continue exploring her many passions and using her voice to empower others. Anna grew up singing along to her dad’s rock band and has a special place in her heart for the music of the Beatles, particularly their album Abbey Road.
