On Deck with Glory Lyatuu

Glory Lyatuu is a 16-year old senior at South Salem High School. Her parents emigrated from Tanzania; Glory herself spent the first 5 years of her life in that African country. Now Glory a classical organist. In this episode of “On Deck” you can learn more about her unlikely journey.
In addition to working as a church organist in Salem, Glory also founded and organized the Salem Youth Music Festival, which provides an opportunity to showcase some of Salem’s talented young musicians while simultaneously raising money for those who cannot afford music lessons.
