Join host Andrea Murray every Saturday at 9:00 PM PT for an hour dedicated to future classics and music by living composers. Club Mod is a welcoming space for exploring contemporary classical music. You’ll hear works by living composers – people like Jessie Montgomery, Caroline Shaw, David Lang, Daniel Bernard Roumain, and more. The focus is on pieces written in the last few years (and sometimes months!). Every episode includes our special “Classified” segment – classical covers of well-loved pop songs.

Though I’ve been on the radio for years, I’d never had a chance to share my love of contemporary classical music with listeners. That all changed in 2018 when I started hosting All Classical Radio’s contemporary music program, Club Mod, created by former host Robert McBride. This show soon became one of my favorite job duties. We hope the show provides a space for people raised on pop to explore classical music. It’s also where folks raised on “traditional” classical music can explore the music of our time. A music critic once described the music we play as “appealing,” which is exactly what we aim to be.
