We invite you to participate as a volunteer at All Classical. Call our Volunteer Coordinator, Mary Evjen at 503-802-9405 for information.


GARDENER SUPPORT! Please call if you are willing to help beautify the front of All Classical. We desperately need help in weeding two small tree areas and bark-dust area in front of our offices. Will barter classical CDs and concert tickets for help! Call Mary or Sally if this sounds like good exercise to you.

CORPORATE SUPPORT HELP

Our underwriting department needs a volunteer to help with routine tasks, 10-12 hours per week, flexible hours.

Requirements include dependability, flexibility, attention to detail and some graphic design experience. Call Eric Behny at 503-802-9417 for more information.




KBPS SPOTLIGHT

A Taste of What's to Come

All Classical is previewing Portland Opera's upcoming season the next three Saturdays. First up this Saturday at 10 a.m. is Britten's The Turn of the Screw, followed by Cavalli's La Calisto on the 13th and Verdi's Rigoletto on the 20th.

Portland Opera's new season, entitled Life on the Edge, is five powerful operas and five unbelievably emotional experiences. Hear them first on All Classical and then make arrangements to see them at the Portland Opera beginning Sept. 26.

Flora and Fauna

Portland Chamber Orchestra opens its season by evoking nature through sounds and images.

The 62-year-old orchestra combines a premiere with two familiar works, and includes young duo-pianists Melody and Megan Yip, along with distinguished Portland actor Tobian Anderson in the program at Kaul Auditorium on Saturday, September 20 @ 7:30 p.m.

The Stations of All Classical FM
Many of you have picked up that we have stopped identifying ourselves as KBPS or 89 point nine in favor of All Classical.

We are consciously making that change as we are now a regional arts organization with four radio stations around Oregon and SW Washington.

Today we are KBPS 89.9 Portland, KQHR 90.1, KQAC 88.1 Gleneden Beach and now KQDL 88.1 The Dalles. (The last station is not built as yet; however, we continue to be on the air in The Dalles 96.3.)
